SheetMTD Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 June 2026 · Provider: Insight Professional Partners Ltd, registered in England & Wales
The service
SheetMTD is bridging software: a Google Sheets™ add-on that helps you keep tax records in your spreadsheet and submit Making Tax Digital for Income Tax quarterly updates to HMRC. Record-keeping features are free; submitting to HMRC requires a paid licence.
Your responsibilities
- The figures in your spreadsheet, and what you submit to HMRC, are your responsibility. SheetMTD shows you exactly what will be sent before submission, and sends only what you approve.
- SheetMTD is software, not tax advice. Nothing in the product or its communications constitutes accounting, tax, or legal advice. If you are unsure about your tax position, consult a qualified adviser.
- You must hold your own Government Gateway credentials and grant HMRC's consent yourself; we never see your HMRC password.
Licences and payment
- Filing licences are £24.99/year or £7.99/quarter, payable by card via Stripe, renewing automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. Free record-keeping continues regardless.
- If you are charged and the service has materially failed to perform a submission HMRC accepted, contact support within 30 days for a refund.
Service standards and liability
- We aim for the service to be available ahead of every quarterly deadline, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of Google's or HMRC's systems.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the licence fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud or matters that cannot lawfully be limited.
- You remain responsible for filing on time; we recommend not leaving submissions to the final day.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to misuse the service, interfere with its operation, or use it to submit information you know to be false.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email or in the add-on. Questions: support@sheetmtd.co.uk. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
